The road ascends from Purmamarca, featuring numerous switchbacks and reaching an elevation of 4170 meters above sea level. Travelers are advised to take an excursion to fully appreciate the beauty of the area.

Amazing road, landscapes. Never cease to be amazed of the views. Be careful with the road, there were some accidents.

What a creepy and beautiful experience all at once. Keep your wits about you if it’s been storming. The roads are well marked but you won’t be able to go more than 20 kph in some places if the fog hits you.

The Hill of Seven Colors, also known as Cerro de los Siete Colores, is a stunning natural wonder in Argentina. This jagged rock formation boasts a mesmerizing display of pastel hues including lavenders, oranges, and yellows. While it may be challenging to spot all seven colors at once, the morning sun illuminates the rocky surface with a breathtaking spectrum of colors.

For avoiding crowds and heat go there around 4:30pm… its free and amazing short walk :)

Pirates L — Google review

As for the natural, the Hill itself is a beauty, it is very impressive to see the different shades and the size it has. Depending on the time you approach it, the tone of each color is different, the way it shines, everything.Likewise, the fair that is located there does not contribute much to the visit, they sell the same as in Purmamarca, Humahuaca, so it really is not a big deal.It is a pity that it is such a busy viewpoint, it is almost impossible to appreciate the Hill without someone crossing it, much less take a photo where it can be seen. I logically understand that it is an obligatory stop for tours that come to the area, especially on the way to the Salinas Grandes.

Dozens of stalls and shops all selling the same things. How do they make a living? However it's lively and very colourful with all the wonderfully coloured scarves and towels. The Santa Rosa de Lima Church, dedicated to the patron saint Santa Rosa de Lima, showcases a simplistic architectural design with single towers and sturdy adobe walls covered in lime. Positioned on stone foundations, the church is surrounded by two remarkable carob trees on the adjacent street, one of which is believed to be over 600 years old. These ancient trees provided shade for General Manuel Belgrano's troops during the fight for independence.

This town surrounding this church is just wonderful, while traveling around on day-trips we still came back here to spend the night. This church and this beautiful wise tree is holding the community together. I like this town the most. For north european and scandinavian here is some delightful estethics and cleanliness and order. Seems like people live well, their houses are well taken care of and looks like everyone is enjoying the beauty of this valle even the Virgen.

(Translated by Google) The church is the only monumental building in the town and perhaps the most important. Its origin would date back to the 17th century, according to data on the lintel of the entrance door of the façade (1648). It was built with native materials that still exist: adobe walls and a roof made of cardón wood and clay cake. The altar, with completely simple characteristics, tends to revalue the image of Saint Rose arranged in a niche perforated in the wall, with important Cusco paintings on the sides. A smaller Cuzco series also hangs on the sides: ten oil paintings of scenes from the life of the patron saint. The chapel, placed under the patronage of Santa Rosa de Lima, was declared a National Historical Monument in July 1941. Probably the most bloated and unnecessary tour we did on our South America trip. The hike itself could be completed in 1-2 hours, with all the breaks and stories from the guide we needed 5.Unfortunately, we didn't learn anything about the landscape; openness to spiritual perspectives, esotericism and meditation are expected. If you feel addressed by this: go for it. But if you're here for hiking, skip this place, you will not really miss anything: the caves themselves are small, nevertheless it's a shame that you can't visit them on your own,...Incidentally, our guide, Javier, came with completely greasy hair and smelled as if he hadn't washed himself or his clothes for at least a week...🥴

Pucará de Tilcara is a significant pre-Inca archaeological site located in the southern outskirts of Tilcara. It was originally built by the Omaguaca tribe in the 12th century and later declared a National Monument in 2000. The hilltop town offers well-preserved ruins, including ancient dwellings and a town square, providing insight into how this indigenous tribe lived.

Moving in many senses. The very fact of walking in a place of worship, even in our days, is worth the visit.Join the guided tour for a better understanding of everything you'll see in the Quebrada region.

La P — Google review

The site was interesting with good signs and information describing the ancient civilization but the entrance fee was rather steep compared to other local attractions. I'm glad I visited but definitely not someplace I'd be interested in revisiting.

Dave R — Google review

The restorations are not very accurate or authentic, but it does give you an idea of what the buildings might have looked like. You can still see much of the ruins where there are rock piles in the general shape of walls. There is good information provided. The botanical garden is nice too.

An incredibly important pre-Colombian and even pre-Inca civilization archeological site, with traces of human habitation that date back more than 10,000 years. This fortified city that at its peak housed over 2,000 inhabitants was originally built by the Omaguaca tribe around the 12th century. Unfortunately not everything is original / preserved, but part of the Pucará was rebuilt in the last centuty (it was re-discovered 1908) and a monument "in the style of the stone houses" was even added in 1935 to commemorate the archaeologist who first excavated the land. The location was strategically chosen to be easily defensible and to provide good views over a long stretch of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and the views are still spectacular today. The Pucará de Tilcara was declared a National Monument in 2000, and is the only publicly accessible archaeological site in the Quebrada de Humahuaca. Highly recommended!

Museum of High Altitude Archaeology is a renowned museum in Salta province, Argentina that specializes in Inca culture and archaeology. The museum features exhibitions on the history of high altitude archaeology as well as displays of mummified bodies and artifacts from the region.

It is a great museum. What a pity that not everything is translate to english. You can buy an english guide in the shop, I missed this because when I asked at the ticket office they ensured me that everything is traslaze in english and the guide cost more than the entrance. Still it is really worth it.

Michaela M — Google review

Very unique experience to say the least. Not sure if I’d take small children there though, as they could be shocked.

Mauro V — Google review

Was a fair amount in English but some still to be translated. Fascinating how well preserved the young girl was.Photos aren’t allowed inside. The museum is very small but you can spend at least an hour there if you don’t rush it.

Greg M — Google review

It's not too big but very interesting if Inca culture attracts you. Relatively cheap (I paid $1200 as a foreigner; argentinians, people from salta, and people with disabilities get increasingly high discounts, disabled people paying nothing). They only expose one child's mummy at a time, you can know in the entrance which is it.The only CON I must say is that not only is it too dark at times, but also, you're not allowed to take pictures AT ALL. They say it's for preservation (what harm can a camera without flash cause? Not more than a human breathing carbon dioxide inside a room, hm?), I think it's to keep the inside a "secret" so they keep attracting tourists.Overall it was interesting, and I'm not that much into archeology and anthropology — for those people it will be even more enjoyable for sure.

Lucas F — Google review

I quite liked the museum. As some people here state correctly it’s a rather small exhibition, but honestly its still a good one. They have lots of descriptive texts and QR-Codes that you can scan and a very informative film at the beginning of the tour. The price might be a little high, but they also go above and beyond to preserve and do research on the three mummies, which also has to be financed somehow. They also only display the artifacts found with the mummies, so there aren’t too many things on display. All the information, the texts and little films play together nicely though and in combination with other museums this will give you a deeper understanding of the Incan empire and its culture.

Nick — Google review

Spent about 10 minutes inside. As a tourist, I had to buy a ticket online and register on another site without English options. The ticket itself is like 3$ cad so very affordable, but... Even if you register online and have your ticket, you still get in the same line as everyone else buying a ticket that day... Makes no sense!

Andrew G — Google review

Of you want to check the Inca's history is a must. The price is cheap and you can see mommies in a perfect conservation.

Ana G — Google review

Beautiful little museum built around the discovery of 3 mummified children in a volcano near Salta. Only one child is displayed at a time, but there are many displays of the items found with the children. There are several short, informative videos with English subtitles that provide the history of the find, the preservation of the children, and basic information about the original people.

Laura A — Google review

Great to visit and learn about the culture and history of settlers high in the Andes, don't need to spend too long inside but some amazing exhibitions. Some English placards to explain!

Alastair M — Google review

This museum tells the story of the three Inca mummies discovered at the top of a mountain in the late 90s. It’s really well curated with excellent descriptions in English if you are not a Spanish speaker. Also very respectfully presented.

Sarah R — Google review

Interesting museum about traditions long forgotten. Mostly about a path of children that were to be sacrificed. One of three mummies is always on display. The best are the two girls, the boy is a bit less interesting to see.

Petr V — Google review

Ok museum with interesting tho limited information on Incas. The highlight of the exhibition (the 3 mummies) is actually a little below expectations since it hyped the three children but actually show just one.

Elisa T — Google review

I am so lucky i got to see the maiden on display when i was there. I heard about her when she was first discovered and always wanted to see her. The best preserved mummy in the world. Fantastic. They have 3 mummies and only one is on display at a time. All are great. I only wish i could take photos but I understand it is for the preservation and i respect that. Definable worth a visit.

Yasser B — Google review

THE thing to do in Salta. The museum gives a great overview in both Spanish and English of the Inca traditions related to human sacrifice. There are many displayed objects, and at the end you see one of the three children. Super interesting to see.Don't miss on the second floor the "queen" another mummy who was not cared for when she was looted in 1920.It takes less than one hour.

Ashley D — Google review

The experience was really good. It is really shocking to see the mummies in real life. The atmosphere is very well designed. I recommended to buy the tickets through the webpage because otherwise you have to wait a lot to buy it.

Marcos V — Google review

One of the most memorable it will be. To learn about the historic times and the native people, one travels back into time. Simply beautiful. The English translation is very helpful on the written scripts.

Abid J — Google review

Small well organized museum. During peak hours it can be a bit troublesome to navigate the exposition areas. I found it interesting because of the historical and scientific value of the work that is being carried out. I am glad I was able to support the museum.

Ken S — Google review

There is, for want of a better turn of phrase, a roster for the children sacrificed on the mountain top. The child whose body was struck by lightning was available to see when we were there. It is important to remember that, whatever our current beliefs, some no less mistaken or bizarre, this child, perfect in her own way, went to die for the safety of her people. Go, see her or her companions, but please, remember to respect her courage and her ultimate sacrifice for her peoples. Salta is worth visiting if only to see, and pay your respects to, these extraordinary young people. In passing the cultural insights offered by this museum are certainly worth seeing independent of the children. Would I travel to Salta for the reason of the rest of the museum alone? No. If in Salta would I consider it an error not to go? Yes. The children, frozen in body and time, make the journey across Argentina absolutely worth while. Just, when you go, pause to consider the enormity of her sacrifice and use that as a window to consider your own life perhaps.

John P — Google review

If you’re going to close and can’t tell everyone, put it on your google maps listing! That at least gives us a chance to find out. We’re only in Salta two days and you’re closed for both of them.

MD — Google review

Disappointing museum. Perhaps due to being over-hyped. I was charged US$8.50. For museums in Argentina, that is a lot. There were just two mummies on display. One badly preserved and the other in exceptional condition. Otherwise, on display was a very very limited number of artifacts. What the museum mostly seems to consist of, are volumes worth of descriptions written on the walls. If the museum included an audio guide, it would be with $4 given the tiny (very tiny) collection. If you’ve never been to any of the Andean archeological museums in Quito, Bogota, Cuzco, Chan Chan, Lima, Arequipa or Santiago, you will enjoy this one.But it was touted as being the better of the top two. And is the bottom of my list of all the ones that I’ve listed. No photos allowed (even without flash) of the museums limited collection is a bummer.

David — Google review

Its a small but very nice museum. It helps you unserstand more about the incas and their culture. In the end of the exhibition you can see an inca mummy.

Daniel B — Google review

Highly recommended. You'll get to see one of the mummies, if you so choose (there's an option to walk around that specific part, avoiding the sight)The self-guided visit offers an English version of the storyline. Bear in mind it's really cold in summer inside this museum, you should grab a ligth jacket to wear. Foreign visitors paid around 7 US dollars entry fee. No pictures are allowed.

La P — Google review

It might seem expensive by Argentinian standards (8000pp for foreigners) but it's well worth it!The artifacts are incredibly well preserved and the colours are still bright! The mummies are incredible and look as though they could wake up at any moment.Descriptions in both Spanish and English

Will B — Google review

Once you get past the creepy aspect of the human sacrifice, this is a must see museum in Salta. Extremely rare exhibit of the mummy’s of children extremely well preserved. And a detailed intimate glimpse into the Inca civilization culture.

The imposing pink cathedral of Salta is one of the most important churches in south america. The building was completed in 1882 after an earlier church was destroyed in an earthquake. It features a rectangular floor, three naves and a high dome ceiling. There are free guided tours available in Spanish but note that these only cover part of the cathedral. The heart of the city has witnessed religious festivals and the atmosphere here is spectacular with a beautiful church full of life.

So colorful and beautiful inside. They are 3 churches like this near the square. All are beautiful. Free to go inside and maybe you can say a prayer if you want.

J C — Google review

Both a great tourist attraction and a fully functioning Catholic church (mass is celebrated daily), this is the main cathedral in the city of Salta. Not old, for European standards, it was built in the mid 1800s, it still boasts a richly decorated interior full of altars and religious art (paintings, statues and a wonderfully fresco painted ceiling). The cloister next door is small and not breathtaking, but still worth to see when visiting the cathedral.

Plaza 9 de Julio, located in Salta, Argentina, is a public space that commemorates the country's independence day. It is characterized by its lush green trees and colorful flowers that adorn the surroundings. The plaza holds historical significance as it is surrounded by numerous notable buildings, including the Catedral de Salta where General Juan Antonio Alvarez's remains are kept. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various coffee shops and restaurants with excellent views of the cathedral.

Nice plaza to eat some food and chill with a cold beer. It can be busy though at times.

Daw G — Google review

Small square with monument in center and with water tap. Not much information available about the monument. On one side is the church and museum. Place is popular with locals. There are plenty of benches to sit. It's nice in evening

Catholic church

Sights & Landmarks

Basílica de San Francisco is a large, imposing colonial-style Catholic church and National Historical Monument. The striking red, white and gold color scheme is memorable, as is the 173-foot (53m) bell tower. Saint Francis is often associated with Salta, so it's no surprise this church stands out.

So colorful and beautiful inside. They are 3 churches like this near the square. All are beautiful. Free to go inside and maybe you can say a prayer if you want.

J C — Google review

Not as rich and fancy as other basilicas but from the outside it does look beautiful. Also, some stuff inside look a little creepy and scary. Seems like they didn't have enough budget to create something better

Amazing!!! I absolutely recommend doing the guided visit (only ARS 4000 for foreigners at the time of this post). So much history involved since the foundation of Salta.Visits start every hour on the hour and last about 45 min., cash or transfer available. Be ready to climb to the campanil.

Gabriella D — Google review

Beautiful church. Very well decorated. Wonderful ceilings and sculpture. This is well maintained and clean with a nice nativity scene. There is also the little baby Jesus blessed by the Pope. We recommend to spend 30 minutes in this church.

Damien F — Google review

We took the guided tour, it is extensive but the guide is very attentive and walks you through all the facilities, he also explains and narrates the history of the place excellently. The place itself is very nice and well maintained. Exemplary of how national historic places should be treated.

Julian A — Google review

The most notable thing about the Minor Basilica and Convent of San Francisco is actually its bell tower, which at a height of 54 meters is the tallest of all South America. The whole exterior of this church looks stunning, especially when its rich red color contrasts against the blue skies of Salta. Unfortunately the exterior is not as well kept as it would deserve and you can see paint and stucco falling off from the walls here and there, also at the base of the bell tower. The price to visit the museum, at under 2 USD, is very reasonable and absolutely worth it, especially if you are fit enough to climb the stairs inside the bell tower. Alternatively, it is also very beautiful at night, when it is really nicely illuminated.

Niccolo' B — Google review

David R — Google review

The visit worth every penny... The tour, the explanations, the passion explaining every single detail and the empathy, the smile….. Jazmín was the best guide!!! You will explore the whole Basilica, from the architecture, their story; to the Franciscan order and their influence, work and help with the aborigines. You will learn about architecture, history, Franciscan philosophy, aborigines, and more. And also you can buy gifts made from the order.

A beautiful building both inside and outside! We were told there was an English tour in the afternoon - but when we turned up we were told it was only in Spanish. For 1000 pesos it was still worth doing to see the inside courtyard and up to the top of the tower.

Tiene a la única virgen María embarazada del país(Translated by Google)For those who like architectural art, an excellent place to visit, its exterior as well as its interior decoration, impressive, it has a guided tour that leaves every 30 minutes and lasts 1 hour, today it costs around $3000, it has visit the passageways and its tower with a guide who tells you the story, at one point I had a 3D tour and wine tasting but not at the moment. It has the only pregnant Virgin Mary in the country

Volvería de nuevo(Translated by Google)Take the guided tour, inside it is very good, its value is 3000 (it varies if you are retired, a student or underage), the staff is very trained, impeccable. The Teleférico San Bernardo offers a scenic view of the city from the top of its 1 kilometer ascent. Taking the gondola up is an easy option, or you can also walk the steps down to enjoy stunning views of Buenos Aires.

Splendid view of the city. Just buy the way up as you can easily walk down through the forrest path on your way down.

Ludovic S — Google review

Very nice ride up the gondola, $6.25 USD per person at current market rate. Beautiful palm trees and walks, garden and view at the top. Also the option to walk up or down but it is pretty long. Water feature wasn't working which is too bad. There is a generic touristy restaurant and a highly rated resuarant but it's closed Monday and tuesday

Nick S — Google review

I think the attendant should get more involved in moving the crowd into the cars. There was a fairly long line and some folks were going up only two at a time, when the cars could carry at least four individuals. It made things unnecessarily slow.

Sergio R — Google review

When visiting Salta this one should be on your list , One gets a good panoramic view of the city and the surrounding area, The travel up and down the hill is quite fun, A small coffee shop to enjoy a drink and take in the view before the short return trip ,The cost is 2200 pesos per person

Yuval K — Google review

If you have time and it's a nice sunny day it's worth going up. It's not a must do in the city, but it is nice.

Ashley D — Google review

Teleférico San Bernardo is the station for the aerial tramway to the top of the hill. You can get the talk just walk-in, price is S.500 for a return trip, and usually there is queue for the ticket, but usually only took less than 10 mins.As each of the car is for 4 person, staffs may put you with other people together if you only have 2. However, if the queue is short, you may request to have a private car, staffs are friendly and usually ok to do so.After 10 mins will take you to the top of the hill, and the view is very nice in between

Brett K — Google review

Walking up or down is a nice option, views are reasonable if not overly impressive (there are a lot of trees obscuring the views) - definitely worth it if you have some time free.

San Bernardo's Hill, also known as Cerro San Bernardo, is a popular spot in Salta for outdoor activities and relaxation. It offers stunning panoramic views of the city from its summit, which can be reached by climbing over 1,000 steps or taking a cable car from Parque San Martin. At the top, visitors can enjoy a restaurant with gourmet dining options and explore beautiful gardens.

I hiked to the top of the hill. The trail up is really well-maintained and is stairs most of the way. Wonderful view from the top. I hiked up in the early morning hours and the trail is lit most of the way and I felt very safe.

Philip F — Google review

I walked up and down twice. The stairs are uneven and can get slippery in the rain, they are also very dark at night (bring a flashlight). But there were lots of people, even at night. at the top there is a restaurant open for lunch and it's pretty good. Great views of the city.

Bry — Google review

We took the cable car up on the hill and walked down , the perfect attraction for the day, walk 1030 steps if you like .Beautiful and peaceful and lot of different trees and flowers and birds to see , even a little restaurant.

Janka D — Google review

Do it on a clear sunny day. We went first on the funicular on a cloudy day. Then we walked up on a sunny day and the view was so worth it. It’s about 45 mins up - walking up lots of stone steps - but it’s worth it. There’s a cafe at the top.

Sarah R — Google review

Take the lift to the top and enjoy the view of SaltaThen you can easily walk down through the green hills 😀

Vasilis K — Google review

Must visit for anyone coming to Salta. Late afternoon can have sun in eyes but is still a good time to visit. The queue for the cable car can be about 30 minutes but worth it.

Jeremy M — Google review

For something to do the cable guys is a great option. Not alot at the top and be prepared to queue to come back down.

Sabrina G — Google review

Top of the line/Beautiful picture's can be taken from the top and going down the cable car.

Marcel S — Google review

At first I had a doubt wether it's worth it or not but I definitely recommend coming here if you have extra 1-2 hours. The upper area has amazing view on Salta and it's a very cozy and green area where you will find not so many choices to sit but there are some benches. Some people have no respect and sit at the places where people want to take pictures so that can be annoying. There is also some cafe but I didn't go there. The round trip costs 2200 pesos per person.

Ekaterine ( — Google review

The experience was quite good. You will have to purchase tickets. It costs around 2200 pesos per person in the month of May 2023. It can increase depending upon inflation. Please keep your tickets with you till you return back from hills. You will need it while returning as well. You will have to wait in a long queue to purchase tickets and onboard the cable car.Wait time will be higher during return if you want to return at the closing hour at night around 7:30 PM. We had to wait in a queue for 1 hour while returning.

Vaibhav K — Google review

Very nice place for sunset and just to spend evening or whole day. Very nice view to city. A lot of people there have relax and fun. Very recommend this place, at least, sunset time and one hour before sunset. Take a smoothy with cheescake in cafeteria and relax.

Andrejs K — Google review

Good hike! There are stairs beginning next to the Anthropological Museum. You can choose the same way to go back down ir take the road to descend, with better views of the city. Bear in mind you'll end up in a different neighbourhood, though (around 500m behind the bus station)

La P — Google review

Absolutely amazing views! A must see for anyone visiting!

Brian W — Google review

This trip was disappointing there did not advise prior that the water features were not in operation which was my primary reason to go up there again. There is a restaurant up top which we didn't go to but the bar/cafe was nice with a great view for a sunset

Dan W — Google review

Not very interesting, you have to climb a lot of stairs during around 1 hour, or take the telepheric. At the top, you don't have a 360 view panorama , but you can only see the city. No park to chill, and a fake waterfall. But there are sports installations and public toilets, and a restaurant.

(Translated by Google) We loved it. We encouraged ourselves to go the same despite the rain. The path is not difficult but it is long and at the end there is a significant descent. Just when we got to the entrance it stopped raining. The walk was very bearable because it was cloudy. If it is sunny they need to carry a lot of water. I suggest you bring some Crocs or shoes to put in the water in your backpack because the bottom has algae and you can walk well on the stones. The thermal water is divine(Original)Nos encantó.

We leave first thing in the morning, which is the best, and we get to the hot springs first, we manage to have them without people.Advice to stay the night in San Francisco to visit its surroundings. The characteristic sulfur smell demonstrates the mineral properties of the water. The first part of the return, approximately 1/4 of the way (nice climb) is to be done slowly. Totally recommended!!! Totalmente recomendable!!! Vale la pena el esfuerzo!

(Translated by Google) Very nice! Just like the photos. The road is long but for a person in moderate physical condition it is not something so terrible. We made the return trip uphill in less than two hours. The only problem was finding a guide. Because no one responded to us, or they responded and said they were complete or they hung up on us. And it was low season and a weekday. The guide who attended to us and was very attentive was Elida. It is the last guide on the list. Totally recommended and responds as it should.(Original)Muy lindas!

The trail is well marked. You have to bring food because if you do the tour with it it takes approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Martina total cape. The hot springs are very nice, you have to ask them to go back along the river route. You have to book the guided tour in advance. You can only go from June onwards. Because from April to December it is rainy season and the Jordan River rises. Wear mesh and flip flops. And good shoes. Also plenty of water. It's 2 hours round trip and 3 hours back (in theory)(Original)Muy lindo. It is recommended to start early because it gets very hot later. You go down in 2 hours, enjoy the hot springs for 1 hour and then go up in 3 hours. The climb is quite steep at the beginning, and it is difficult, but the guides accompany you and tell you not to die trying. It is a highly recommended excursion to do. Bring good hiking shoes and water. Sunscreen and repellent. Light weight in the backpack and patience to climb.(Original)Es toda una experiencia, se requiere bajar con guía local que se contrata ese mismo día o con anticipación en la oficina de turismo de San Francisco. A lot of traveling if you can stay in San Francisco better. The walk downhill takes an hour and a half, two at most, it is not difficult. But the climb is very tiring, up to the middle it is steep and then it becomes flatter. If you are not in physical condition like in my case, approximately every two blocks you have to stop. The hot springs are beautiful, the color is wonderful, they are quite warm, don't expect them to be hot.Bring lots of repellent, lots of water and good footwear (two pairs of socks too). The only BAD thing is to check yourself when you return, because we came back with ticks and we weren't the only ones.(Original)Nosotras fuimos con Runa Tour desde Tilcara, salimos 3 de la mañana y llegamos 8am.

If you go on winter vacation, it is advisable to book the excursion in advance as it fills up. It is preferable to go outside of these dates to get a place without problems and enjoy the hot springs more peacefully. Because if there are a lot of people they rush you a bit in doing things. Regarding the price, it is very economical. Being 6 people we paid $2400 each.(Original)Hice el recorrido y es un lugar hermoso. Hiking area

This protected national park, spanning 76 hectares and established in 1979, boasts breathtaking mountainous landscapes with endangered species of wildlife and diverse flora. The area can be reached via one of the region's picturesque drives. With an impressive biodiversity, visitors can observe over 120 types of mammals including the adorable capuchin monkey as well as more than 300 bird species. Clear pathways throughout the park make it unnecessary to hire a guide though helpful rangers are available for assistance.

My experience there was amazing. I went with my dad (absolutely no hiking/walking on trails experience) and they told us which path to follow for it not to be too tiring. While following the path we were able to recognize some birds and some footprints thanks to some info they had given us in the entrance. Afterwards, we continued with the car through RN83 up till the end of the park and it was amazing. As you get higher and higher you go from mountain to mountain and get into different tipes of jungles... there are no words to describe what you see nor feel there. Therefore, I’m leaving some pictures in this post. But remember that just going there by car and making the RN83 until the end of the park is absolutely worth it (be careful because it is a cornice route)

If you're in the area the park is ok for an hour walk or two. However there are not many walking tracks and of those tracks a few of the main ones are closed meaning you've not choice but to walk out and back on the same ones. Of those that are closed there are permanent looking barricades and signs which suggests they're prob not reopening anytime soon.

A place of these characteristics cannot afford to be closed in the months in which it can probably be visited, such as January and February. It is a place that houses objects that are part of our history and should not close.(Original)Lamentablemente nunca abrió sus puertas. (Translated by Google) One of the few things a tourist can do in Formosa capital. The waterfront is great, clean, well maintained, with representations of the local fauna, an exotic manger 🤷🏼‍♂️, and the best, a great fountain with good music all the time. There are public bathrooms, games for the kids and space to rest, run and walk the dog.(Original)Una de las pocas cosas que puede hacer un turista en Formosa capital.

(Translated by Google) Very nice place to walk, you have to bring a lot of repellent. During the December holidays, the nativity scene is recreated on a full scale, beautiful, the Costanera is decorated but it is a shame that it cannot be enjoyed in any other way than driving around, you cannot stay anywhere, a shame.(Original)Muy lindo lugar de paseo, hay que llevar mucho repelente.

This an amazing cathederal. It is enormous and beautiful with the stain glass windows. There is a simplicity which represents the place where it was built. There is an openess with people coming and going from every side. It is impressive.

It's a great architectural artwork in a little town of Corrientes Argentina. I invite people around the world come to visit this church and see it.
